Trademore’s Feeding Scheme Initiative

Nourishing Futures: Trademore’s Feeding Scheme at Ekurhuleni Primary School

At Trademore, we believe that meaningful community development starts with addressing real, everyday needs. One of the most impactful ways to support education is by ensuring that learners are properly nourished — because a child who is well-fed is far better equipped to learn, grow, and succeed.

Through our ongoing community initiative at Ekurhuleni Primary School, Trademore is proud to provide 1,000 sandwiches every morning to learners. This daily feeding scheme ensures that children start their school day with the energy and focus they need to fully participate in the classroom.

For many learners, this meal is more than just breakfast — it is a vital source of nutrition that supports concentration, attendance, and overall wellbeing. By helping to remove the barrier of hunger, we aim to create an environment where every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Recognising that the need for support does not end when the school term does, Trademore also extended this initiative through a holiday feeding scheme. During school holidays, when access to regular meals can become even more uncertain, this programme ensured that learners continued to receive consistent nutritional support.

This initiative reflects Trademore’s commitment to making a lasting difference in the communities we serve. It is not just about providing meals — it is about investing in futures, supporting families, and contributing to a stronger, healthier generation.

At its core, the feeding scheme is a simple idea with a powerful impact: when we take care of our children, we build a better tomorrow.
